Adult Dogs for Adoption
These are just some of the adult dogs that have been adopted. |
Adopting an adult dog from a rescue organization comes with a multitude of positive benefits! By choosing to bring home an adult dog, you are giving a deserving and often overlooked companion a second chance at a happy and fulfilling life. These dogs have often faced various hardships and are grateful for the love and care they receive in their new homes. Adult dogs from rescues typically come with established temperaments and behaviours, allowing you to make a more informed decision about compatibility with your lifestyle and family. They are often already house-trained and have a better understanding of basic commands, making the transition into your home smoother. Moreover, by adopting, you are helping to reduce the number of dogs in shelters and making space for more animals in need. The bond formed with an adult rescue dog can be incredibly rewarding, as they truly appreciate the love and security provided to them, and the joy they bring to your life is immeasurable!

I'm Jax!
|
|
Status: Available
Male | Mixed breed | Size: Lrg
Age: March, 2024 Good with: Dogs: Yes Cats: Yes Kids: Yes About Me: I’m Jax – a young gentleman with brains, no balls, and a heart that is more reliable than your wifi signal. Life handed me Lyme disease, but don’t worry – I’ve been treated, I’m on the upswing and it didn’t knock the wag out of my tail, if ya know what I mean. Here’s the deal friends: I’m house trained, kennel trained, leash trained, and I actually know “sit” and “stay.” And guess what? I use them. That puts me ahead of some humans I’ve met. I’m smart, affectionate, and polite enough to make your grandma proud. You want a dog who doesn’t scream like you joined the witness protection program every time you leave the room? That’s me. I’ll tag along when invited and mind my own business when I’m not. I'm a perfect balance,...kind of like yoga but with more snacks. I get along with dogs, cats, kids, adults – you name it. I’m basically the guy who walks into a party and makes friends with everyone, then goes home without embarrassing himself. Kids drop food? I'm a professional vacuum service. Dogs want to wrestle? I'm game. Cats want to glare at me from across the room? Save the attitude Whiskers, I'm not bothered. You want to practise sit and stay for the 400th time? ...Did you bring snacks? Bottom line: I’m funny, friendly, and ridiculously easy to love. Think of me as the Amazon Prime of dogs — reliable, fast to deliver joy, and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without me. |
I'm Petey!
|
Status: ADOPTED!
Male | Mixed breed | Size: X-Lrg
Age: July 16 2024 Good with: Dogs: Yes Cats: Unknown Kids: Yes About Me: I’m Petey — 92 pounds of pure love, loyalty, and “please adopt me already.” I’m just a year and a bit old, but don’t let the puppy age fool you — I’ve got the size of a linebacker and the softness of a teddy bear. I'm a big friendly guy who will steal your heart and your chair and not apologize for it. Life in rescue has been fine, but come on… a guy this handsome shouldn’t still be single. Here’s what you’re getting with me: I’m social, goofy, and great with other dogs. I can run through the fields like an Olympic sprinter, but with four legs and more fur. I thrive on wide open spaces, soft grass, and the company of dogs and humans alike. I’ve basically mastered the art of being everyone’s favorite coworker — friendly, calm, and never the one causing drama. I haven’t tested the whole “cat” thing yet, so we’ll call that a mystery — but I can promise you this: adopt me, and you’ll never need a weighted blanket again. What do I want? Simple. A forever home with a little room to roam, people who like big heavy cuddles, and maybe a shady tree for naps. Bottom line? I’m Petey — your loyal, oversized shadow with a heart way too big to stay in rescue any longer. Please come and meet me! |
I'm Zara!
|
|
Status: AvailableFemale | Mixed breed | Size: Med
Age: January 2024 Good with: Dogs: No Cats: No Kids: Yes About Me: I’m Zara — proud mama, sweet soul, and still waiting (way too long) for my happily-ever-after. My pups were adopted ages ago, and they’re living the dream, while I’m still here politely raising my paw like, “Hey, remember me?" Here's what I offer: I’m gentle, affectionate, and calm. I take treats softly, walk beautifully on a leash, and know how to bring a sense of peace wherever I go. But here’s the catch — I’m not a fan of other dogs or cats. I’ve decided I prefer the spotlight all to myself, thank you very much. What do I want? A special home where I can finally settle in and be adored like I deserve. Kids? Sure, as long as they’re respectful. Adults? Absolutely. Other pets? Sorry, hard pass. If you’ve been looking for a loyal, loving dog who will shower you with devotion and keep all the attention focused right where it belongs, I’m Zara and I'm waiting to meet you! |
