Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide assistance and support to dogs and puppies in need, particularly in First Nations communities and other areas, by offering veterinary care and facilitating their adoption into loving homes. Driven by the overwhelming need, we raise funds to ensure proper vetting, supplies, and transportation, and actively seek adoption opportunities through networking when the pace slows down.

Geoff Davison - TreasurerAs treasurer, Geoff looks after the rescue’s basic financial tasks. He’s a single father who loves dogs, the outdoors and enjoys being part of a team that works hard to give every animal a second chance. Geoff prefers to stay in the background, but he’s always ready to help out however he can.

Lori Ardron - SecretaryRecently retired with a combined 40+ combined years of nursing, Canadian Blood Services and instructing in health care. Always a menagerie of animals for my 4 children when they were growing up, and 4 grandchildren know that this Grandma loves her animals.
I currently have two dogs from the rescue, one foster fail and one medical foster. Since retiring I volunteer for Brandon Christmas Cheer, BRHC volunteer services and of course A Tail to Tell. “Evidence suggests that attachment to a pet is beneficial for human health and helps build a better community.” |
Sarah Sobry - Website DesignSarah Sobry built and runs the website. Her volunteer work in the dog world began over 20 years ago, although she hasn't been able to do nearly as much as she would like! She has trained 9 of her own dogs beginning over 30 years ago, and in almost every dog sport imaginable, but most of her experience is in obedience work, and has competed and won multiple titles and ribbons with her Belgian Turvurens. She has been a member of several dog clubs around the province, and volunteered her time as a board member of each. Besides teaching in dog clubs, she has about 8-9 years of experience as a teacher-trainer, most of which were at the Paw Resort and Wellness Centre in Brandon. She also has years of experience as a teacher of small humans. She has been adopted by two rescue dogs and also shares the home with a beloved little papillon.
